Vespertine Vulpine Media is Christine McDaniel, a freelance photographer and Northwest Arkansas native.
Christine's obsession with photography began as a young girl who was enamored with the magic of the instant Polaroid and 35 mm Pentax cameras that her father had. Observant and curious, she was astounded with the way you could capture a moment- time and place preserved, unchanged on a two dimensional plane. Disposable camera photoshoots with her little sister evolved into more serious documentation once her son was born in 2001, but it wasn't until after graduating nursing school in 2009 that she began casually shooting portraits for coworkers and their families. As she gained knowledge in post production, color theory and lighting manipulation, her confidence, experience and artistic style developed, allowing her the opportunity to work alongside talent as part of media teams for various art events and music festivals.
“I think I have a very documentary, street style way of approaching photography. I love creating and would never hesitate to collaborate on something stylized but I favor that raw flavor. I love photos where the subject didn’t know they were being photographed. Photos that depict an actual moment where there was real emotion. I find that kind of raw authenticity beautiful.”
Christine is a wife and mother who enjoys travel, nature, food, and music. She continues to work as a registered nurse when she is not behind the camera lens and you can find her riding her bike or hiking with her three bulldogs along this area's many trails in her free time.
